We invite you to join an intimate group to write jokes for stand up comedy and share your experiences with amateur and experienced comedians alike. Only 6 people maximum will be allowed to participate in each session, so be sure to confirm your interest early!

We’ll start with a brief introduction to the English comedy scene of Moscow and general tips about stand up for newer performers.

Then we’ll brainstorm and banter to find fresh ideas for jokes or new angles to your old material… finally, we’ll retool them to ’punch them up’ and make them more structured for your future delivery on stage. This format is recommend for anybody who has had less than 100 on-stage experiences in English, as the goal is to help you prepare to perform with confidence at our English open mics.

It’s not an English lesson so we recommend B2 minimum so that you can feel comfortable communicating with others and fully enjoy the experience. The workshop will be 2 hours long to make sure everyone has time to individually address their material. Any questions can be directed to our social media, where we can explain any point in detail!
